Parent Information
Phoenix Outreach Service run a termly Cygnet course for families of autistic children. This is a nationally recognised course created by Barnados. We also offer other workshops throughout the year, including evening workshops to enable working parents to attend. In addition, schools can request coffee mornings or parent workshops from their outreach teacher. If parents of autistic children would like POS support, they should first discuss with their school SENDCo.

Phoenix is a working school where any visitors are likely to come into contact with students. As such, we expect attendees to adhere to some elements of the staff code of conduct for safeguarding purposes. This includes dress code.
Staff who will come into contact with pupils at the school must ensure that their faces are fully visible at all times. Sunglasses, low peaked caps and veils, which obscure the face, including but not limited to a niqab, may not be worn at any time. Scarves and veils, which cover the hair, but leave the face fully visible, are permitted.
